Westchester Philharmonic

The Westchester Philharmonic is a professional classical symphony orchestra. It offers main stage performances, classroom music education, and community outreach. The orchestra performs at the Purchase Performing Arts Center and other locations in White Plains and Rye Brook.

The Philharmonic has a history that began in 1983. It was founded under the leadership of Paul Lustig Dunkel and is now led by Joshua Worby. The orchestra has performed with various artists, including Joshua Bell, Julia Bullock, and Itzhak Perlman.

The Westchester Philharmonic commissions and premieres new works. It has commissioned works from composers such as Melinda Wagner, Christopher Theofanidis, David Ludwig, and Jed Feuer. The orchestra also engages conductors and guest soloists from diverse backgrounds.
